We often have the idea that God is distant, in the high heavens, alien to our lives or our history, taking care of more important things and that he is often not paying attention to our lives. Usually we often have this perception due to our own life experiences.
In many cases, we were raised with the idea that we are only worthy of something if we act right, if we behave well, and we end up taking this realization into our spiritual life.
So we do not understand that God does not consider his love for us through our works or merits. God's love is not conditioned on what we do, or if we deserve it, but God's love is unconditional and much greater than we can imagine. He created us, He knows us deeply, so He knows our limitations and weaknesses.
However, unfortunately, there is a barrier that prevents us from having that relationship of love that God wants for us: the sin in our lives.
God is holy in a way we can never understand. Therefore, we need to understand that when Adam and Eve sinned, they infected their bodies with sin, and therefore all people born after them carry this "virus".
Sin causes separation between God and us, because sin is contrary to God's nature, sin is unclean, and because of sin, our carnal nature becomes unclean.
However, God had already provided a way out of this, a way out so that we can recover that relationship that Adam and Eve lost, because just as sin entered the world through one man, so also through a single man who offered a pure and perfect sacrifice, we can have forgiveness, restoration, salvation and have eternal life: the sacrifice of Jesus.
For many people it is difficult to understand the spiritual relationship between what happened in Eden, sin and Jesus, but it is all very clear in the scriptures. Because the entire Bible was written so that men through all generations could read and see that all the animal sacrifices since Eden, when God killed an animal to cover Adam and Eve shame due to their sin, are a foreshadowing of the greatest sacrifice of all: The innocent, who never sinned, Jesus, sacrificing himself to cover the sins of all men kind through his blood.
So understand now that you may be living a life of addictions and sins, even today Jesus' sacrifice is valid for you too. Jesus' sacrifice is valid for eternity, but for Jesus' sacrifice to have an impact on your life, there is a need for choice. For just as Adam and Eve chose to disobey God and sinned, we too must choose Jesus.
Choose to confess with your lips and accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, ask Jesus to be your Lord and forgive your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God who was sent by God to die as the perfect sacrifice for our sins so that we can be saved and regain our lost relationship with God.
You know, alone we are not able to turn from sin or our wrong ways, because it is in our flesh, so there is no need to want to change your life by yourself or try to do right before deciding to accept Jesus' sacrifice. Because, as mentioned before, it is not by merits or good works that we are saved, but because God loved us first and so much that He offered the way out through His Son Jesus who came into the world, became like a man and gave Himself to die on the cross, pure and without sin, the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
Everything is a choice, your choice, individual and non-transferable, because that is how salvation is for each person individually.
The choice to have a relationship with God and be able to be considered part of His family, the choice to want to change your life, and the choice to have eternal life.
The world is a spiritual matrix, you don't see it, but there are evil forces that imprison people in their minds in fears, addictions, hurts, hate, prejudices, luxuries, greed, vanities, ambitions, etc., people think it's normal and natural, but all this is the fruit of the sin that began in Eden and its only purpose is to destroy people's lives.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9 NKJV
