There Is An Invisible Battle

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:12-18 NIV

You may not realize it, not realize it or not want to know it, but there is a spirit world around you and a daily battle between the evil forces and the heavenly forces.

The evil forces want to manipulate, deceive and destroy us through evil feelings, such as anger, hate, envy, greed, hurt, lust, depression, fear and other feelings that cause us pain and lead us to suffer and in worst cases, commit sins against other people, against ourselves and against God.

“Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father.” Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.””

John 8:34-36, 38, 42-47 NIV

In many cases, these sins seem harmless and even give us pleasure and temporary joy and satisfaction for a while, but these actions are "homeopathic" doses that cause an addiction in our souls and each time we allow ourselves to commit these sins, we sink further in an addiction and we get tangled up in an evil spiritual chain that drains our souls and leaves us blind, deaf and without strength.

“Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:7-11 NIV

Only in God, through the Lord Jesus, can we be freed from these spiritual chains in our souls. When we give our lives to the Lord Jesus, ask forgiveness for our sins and ask Him to be our God and Lord of our lives, the Spirit of God comes to dwell in our hearts and cleanse us from all evil. So, we started to be freed from the evil forces. Then begins our process of liberating and purifying our souls.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1 NIV

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”

John 3:16-21 NIV

You may be in a battle right now, in your heart, in your family, in your body and you may never have realized or understood what is happening, but now you can have an understanding of what may be behind it all. .

Alone we have no strength and we cannot solve everything, in our own strength or understanding, sometimes the solution may seem reasonable, but it is not effective, leaving marks or even getting worse with time.

The Lord wants us to find the peace, freedom, and true love we seek and need, but we need to be able to recognize Him in our lives, accept Him in our hearts, and surrender our ways to Him. Why?

Because He knows our lives, He knows our history, our hearts and only He can deliver us from the evil that controls our lives. Through Him we can find true peace and happiness.

The enemy is a liar and a manipulator, just like he did like Eve in the Garden of Eden, he does to us every day, giving us a sense of control, but in fact we're just doing what he wants to be more and more controlled by he in our hearts and minds, through our weaknesses.

Do not let evil lead you to the abyss, but look to heaven and ask Jesus to help you and save you.

Unfortunately, when we look around and if we allow ourselves to open our eyes to the truth, we will see that this world is in darkness and evil has controlled people.

This is the time to make the decision to change our lives.
